  • How do I place an order?
    Click on the product you would like to order. Choose quantity, then click the 'Add to Cart' button. Repeat this step for each product you'd like to purchase. Once you have selected all of the products and and their quantities, click the 'View Cart' button. (If the View Cart button is not visible, click the Shopping Cart icon at the top of the website, then click 'View Cart'.) Click on 'Check Out' to purchase with credit card, or 'PayPal' to purchase with PayPal. Complete the 'Shipping Details' form, then click 'Continue'. The 'Delivery Method' will be displayed (for example, "Free Shipping for 4 or more placemats! 5-7 business days"). Click 'Continue', enter your 'Payment' details, click 'Continue'. Review your order, then click 'Place Order' to complete your purchase. You will receive an email confirmation of your order. Most orders ship within 5-7 business days. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your order please contact us.
  • What size are your placemats?
    Pickering placemats are 15-5/8" wide by 11-1/2" inches tall and 1/8" thick. It is currently the only size and shape we offer.
  • How long until I get my placemats?
    Typically 1 week. Most orders, including Custom orders, take about 5 business days to make. Larger orders can take up to 10 business days. UPS ground shipping times vary from 1 day (to New England) to 6 days (to Western US).
  • Can I buy a set of 6?
    Yes, you can order any number of placemats; order 4 or more and shipping is free (excluding Factory Seconds) within the contiguous US states!
  • Can I send you my own picture for my placemats?
    Yes! After choosing a quantity and placing your order for Custom placemats, email us a high-quality photo or digital file and we'll fit your image and send you a digital proof. Once approved, your placemats will be handcrafted to order and shipped within 5-7 business days (7-10 business days for larger orders). The options are limited only by your imagination.   • Do you make round placemats?
    Pickering Company makes just one size and shape of placemat at this time, 15.625" wide x 11.5" tall x 1/8" thick.
  • Can you make custom placemats to match my new window treatments?
    Yes! First, get a high-resolution scan of your fabric at a local print shop near you and send us the digital file, or send your fabric sample to us and we can do the scan for you for a small fee. The sample should be 12" x 16" or larger, smooth and flat with no wrinkles or flaws. Contact us for more information.
  • Do you have coasters to match?
    We are considering adding Coasters to our product line but don't offer them yet. Let us know you're interested.
  • What is a 2-Part Chart?
    Some official NOAA charts are tall and won't fit on one placemat so we divide them in half – these are labeled a "2-Part Chart". You don't have to buy both parts, but if you'd like the complete NOAA chart, order parts A&B. Learn more
  • Can I use this near my stove as a trivet for hot pots?
    Our placemats are temperature resistant to 200º, ideal for hot dishes from the microwave, but not hot pots and pans just off the stove or out of the oven.
  • What are your placemats made from?
    Pickering placemats are made from sustainable hardboard and cork with a gallery-quality high-resolution Giclée print protected by a durable, stain-resistant, heat-resistant, food-safe layer to keep your placemats looking great.
  • Can I buy just 1 placemat?
    Yes, you can order any number of placemats, but Free Shipping is only available for orders of 4 or more placemats (excludes Factory Seconds).
  • Can I use your placemats as a cutting board?
    No, you would damage the protective layer.
  • Can you make other sizes or shapes of placemats?
    No, not at this time, all of our templates and jigs are set up for just the one size.
  • Can I exchange the placemats I bought for a different design?
    Yes, but shipping for your return and for your new selection is not included.
  • What is your return policy?
    If you are not satisfied with our product please contact us at loveit@pickeringco.com and let us know why. Product may be returned within 30 Days of purchase for a refund. Product must be returned in new condition in its original packaging. Excludes used and/or damaged products, Custom Orders, and Factory Seconds. Learn more
  • Do you ship to Canada?
    Sorry, we only ship to the 48 contiguous US states.
  • Do you sell wholesale to retailers?
    Sorry, we no longer offer Wholesale programs for retailers or quantity discounts.
  • Do you offer your products for private label or white label?
    No, we do not make our placemats for other companies to rebrand and resell as their own products.
  • How do you ship your products?
    We ship all of our products UPS Ground. Shipping times vary from 1 day (to New England) to 6 days (to Western US). We only ship to the contiguous 48 US states.
